Why give to Age Concern Bromyard & District?

We are a small, rural Charity which receives no central funding for our services. We are dependent upon grants, for which we apply on a continuous basis, enabling us to maintain our core information & advice work and plan new projects.  Projects are chosen to reflect local needs and available funding.  We also rely upon donations from members of the public.  With your financial support we are able to ensure that we reach adults in the most isolated locations in our district.

If you wish to make a donation to assist us in maintaining and developing our services for older adults aged 50+, please make your cheque payable to Age Concern Bromyard & District and post it to 5 Broad Street, Bromyard HR7 4BS. Payroll giving can be arranged on request.

We welcome volunteers who would like to become involved in fund raising activities to support Age Concern Bromyard & District. New ideas are always welcome.

Gift Aid

Please consider donating through Gift Aid. This is a mechanism, set up by the Government, to allow charities such as ours to recover the tax paid on any donation, thus increasing the donation by at least 28%. If you are a higher tax payer then this could be as much as 40%. This is all at no cost to you. We recover the money directly from the Government provided you have filled out a Gift Aid declaration. Please contact us for a copy of the relevant form if you wish to donate in this way or contact This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Legacies

If we have been able to support you or a close relative in some way, would you consider remembering Age Concern in your Will? If so, please make sure that your legacy is clearly identified as being for the benefit of Age Concern Bromyard & District. If this is not clear in your Will, then the bequest may well be directed to Age Concern England and will not be used for the local Age Concern in Bromyard & District as you intended. All Age Concerns are independent charities within the federation of Age Concerns.

Regular Donations

Some people make regular donations by direct debit from their bank account. If you would like to make a regular contribution then please contact Jane Jenner, Finance Manager,  for the relevant banking information.
