Problems with repairs to your home? If you are:
and if you need help with household repairs, even the smallest of jobs …… then we have a team of ‘technician/handymen’ who can tackle any of those DIY tasks that you used to be able to do yourself but can no longer manage – and for our ‘men who can’ no job is too small. If you need more major work on your home, repairs to walls, roof or gutters for example, or major plumbing or electrical work, or repairs to gas appliances …... then we can put you in touch with reliable, local contractors who will give you value for money – and, if you need us to, we can help you decide what needs to be done, agree a price and cope with the inevitable disruption. If you think that you might qualify for a grant, or an additional benefit or some other form of financial assistance to get necessary work done ……….. then we can help you to look at the work that needs doing, to separate the necessities from the niceties, to find out what help – if any – is available and to complete the necessary forms. Our advice is always free and without obligation. If we undertake work for you through our 'minor repairs scheme then we ask you to pay for any materials that our 'technician/handyperson' uses and a set charge of £6.00 to cover other expenses incurred and the first half hours work. After the first half hour work is charged at the rate of £3.00 per quarter hour of actual working time (hourly rate of £12.00) Our ‘technician/handymen’ can ……..
