Age Concern throughout Herefordshire and Worcestershire

LEGAL   ORGANISATION AND   STRUCTURE

Age Concern Droitwich Spa and District is a registered charity No. 1105266, and also became a private Company Limited by Guarantee registered in England and Wales No. 5150564, on 10th June 2004.  As at December 2005 the Company Secretary is the Chief Officer of the Group.

The organisation is governed by the Memorandum and Articles and run by Directors elected to the Board at each Annual General Meeting.  There are also non-voting members of the Board who attend in an advisory capacity but the Directors have overall responsibility for the organisation, its' policies, workers and the standards of the services offered.

Age Concern is an independent registered charity No.1105266, but is supported by Age Concern England, the National Federation, which provides guidance (for example, on legal or contractual matters), information and promotional literature, computer software, training material and grants for specific projects.

In addition, Age Concern Enterprises Ltd and Age Concern Insurance Services enable some groups to trade and generate income by providing products and services such as Aid-Call, Christmas Gifts, Charity Flowers Direct and various Insurance products.  (Age Concern Droitwich Spa and District is not a trading group but can provide information on some products and signpost to a relevant group)
