Information, advice and support for anyone over 50 years of age.

Would it help to talk to someone:

• about filling in forms for the County or District Council for example?
•  about which benefits you may be entitled to?
• about funding nursing/ residential homes?
• about housing options, holidays or ………?
• regarding information about making a will, setting up a power of attorney or any other related legal matter.

Then come to talk to us at the Age UK Bromsgrove & District Information Centre at 51 Windsor Street, Bromsgrove. Our Information Centre Managers and our volunteer Advisors are very good at listening & they can give information & guidance about these, and many other issues!

Are you getting everything that you are entitled to? We can check whether you are entitled to:

• Pension Credit
• Income Support (under 60)
• Housing Benefit
• Council Tax Benefit
• Attendance Allowance – a tax free cash benefit for people aged 65 or over, who need help with personal care because of illness or disability. This is not dependent on either savings or income.
• Disability Living Allowance – similar to Attendance Allowance but for people under 65 when they first apply.

and we can make life easier for you by helping with the whole application process!

We are open between 10.00am and 1.00pm on Monday to Friday  for personal and telephone callers to our Information Centre. If you are housebound then we will try to arrange to come to you. If the help that you need is more extensive then we will arrange for one of our Wellcheck Advisors to visit you and help you to make contact with the services that you need
